On-The-Job Training and Earning My Ears!

Once I finished my Magical Vacation Planning training class, I began my on-the-job training at Epcot! I had 4 days of training, and a 5th day assessment.
My first day of on-the-job training!
During my core class, I learned how to do everything on the systems and interact with the guests. Now, it was time to combine all of that as I was trained in the booths! Being in the booths is SO awesome. I love talking with the guests to figure out what they want to do on their vacation. My role has so much guest interaction, problem solving, and multi-tasking, and I love every part of it!
This was my training binder!
I absolutely loved my on-the-job training. I actually had two trainers, because one of them is training to be a trainer! I loved getting advice and tips from both of them, and they made my training period so much fun!
I LOVE working at Epcot!!! I get to see this beauty every single day!
During training, Cast Members wear red ribbons that say "Earning My Ears." I loved having guests wish me good luck when they saw my ribbon! It was also a nice way for them to know that I was still in training, so that they understood why I had my two trainers standing behind me!
Before and after of my training ribbon!
I had my assessment day and got to pull off my red training ribbon. I am no longer in training and I have my first shift by myself on Friday! I am officially a Vacation Planner at the Walt Disney World Resort!

  2. Congrats. Are the booths air conditioned? That sounds like something I would like to do if I can't get front desk.....when I finally move there lol

  3. Congratulations! I'm a little behind checking out your blog, I'll have to see what I missed. A Disney name tag suits you! I'm used to seeing you and your family (on your family's blog) in Disney wear, but the official name tag warms my heart, and I don't even really know you! (other than having the Disney fan connection that we all share)
Congratulations again. I hope you enjoy every minute!
