Impacts from Sales

"Nothing like you expected, but everything you were looking for."
So much was learned inside this building!
I can't begin to describe how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to work in Sales. I have learned SO much that I will truly be able to carry with me forever. I've witnessed firsthand the importance of effective communication strategies and functions. I've strengthened my knowledge of the convention sector, added many programs to my technical skill set, and increased my sales techniques and practices. Working on a small team also taught me how to wear many hats as I improved my multi-tasking skills, contributed to a variety of special projects, and made improvements to my department.

One of the most important things that I experienced was the importance of building and maintaining relationships with fellow Cast Members. I never thought coming into this internship that I would build such a strong network of people that I could also call some of my best friends. My fellow Sales and Services Interns and I became very close in our trainings, which led to fun lunches in and near the office, frequent visits to the parks, and irreplaceable friendships. Our departments are all somehow connected, that it also really benefited us to know the roles and functions of each other's departments. I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to work with, and while some are going their own ways, I'm so glad that a lot are still going to be here with the company!

This has been an amazing experience and I can't wait to take everything that I've learned with my as I return to the Operations side of the company. This internship has definitely contributed to preparing me for Guest Relations, and I can't wait to begin!
